PT Housekeeper
 

Position will remain open until filled

Summary of Responsibilities:   Clean the dormitories, classrooms, library, Cultural Center and Administration building.

Daily Duties

Dormitories General

  • Counts and bags dirty laundry for linen service
  • Inventories Linen
  • Distributes Linen when returned
  • Sweeps porches
  • Vacuums common areas
  • Spot cleans carpets
  • Spot washes walls
  • Dusts
  • Mop Floors
  • Clean Bathrooms
    • Wipes counters
    • Spot Cleans walls
    • Empties trash
    • Scours bathtubs, sinks and toilets
    • Mops Floors
    • Cleans out heaters
  • Cleans Kitchens
    • Wipes countertops and stove top
    • Scours sink
    • Cleans stove and oven when necessary
    • Spot cleans walls and cabinets
    • Mops Floors

JCC, Library, Classrooms, and Admin Building

  • Cleans bathroom sinks, mirrors, toilets
  • Mops floors
  • Dusts furniture
  • Empties all trash
  • Sweeps front and back porches

 

 Quarterly Duties After Student’s depart

  • Bedrooms/ Common Area’s
    • Moves, cleans under and behind all furniture.
    • Dusts and polishes furniture
    • Wash and polish all woodwork including hallways and stairs.
    • Cleans out drawers
    • Cleans blinds
    • Washes insides of windows
    • Washes walls
    • Washes bedspreads and mattress pads
    • Has blankets cleaned
    • Counts all linen in houses
    • Cleans mirrors
    • Empties all garbage
    • Cleans blinds
    • Cleans out all heaters
    • Dust mop floors
    • Vacuum rugs
    • Spot cleans rugs - shampoo

     

  • Bathrooms / Kitchen
    • Scours bathtubs, sinks and toilets
    • Cleans under all sinks in cabinets
    • Washes walls and inside of windows
    • Empties all garbage
    • Cleans blinds
    • Cleans Mirrors
    • Scrubs and waxes floors
    • Cleans out all heaters
    • Washes all dishes
    • Cleans out stoves, refrigerators and microwaves
    • Moves and cleans behind refrigerator

Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively to internal or external visitors.

 
Math Ability:

Ability to work with simple mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions and percentages, and ratios to practical situations

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a few concrete variables in situations where standardization exists.  Ability to listen to and apply instructions.  Ability to request guidance as needed.

 

Physical Requirements:

Some lifting and carrying of items of not more than 25 pounds. Pulling, kneeling and twisting may be required for short periods of time.

 
Pre-employment Requirements:

Background check, drug testing and physical will be performed prior to employment.
