Base Chapel

Simple but elegant with vaulted wood ceilings and oak pews.  The choir loft is an excellent viewpoint for taking pictures. Also in the loft is a wedding bell that can be rung by the bride and groom. Occupancy 250.

More than 600 U.S.A military chapels were built in 1942 around the world.  Fort Wright Base Chapel was built in 1942.   The chapel was originally located west of the Spokane River just off Fort Wright Drive. In 1961 the chapel was moved to its current location on Mukogawa Fort Wright campus to make way for the building of Spokane Falls Community College.  In the Chapel’s 67 years of existence thousands of people have entered its doors.
